<p>Brusletto & Co AS was established in 1896 by Rognald Brusletto. The history of ore extraction on Hardangervidda and the craftsmanship production of sickles, scythes, axes, and swords around Geilo began 1500 years ago. Early in history, Geilo became an established power center for forging tools for work and leisure.</p>

<p>Therefore, Rognald Brusletto, the craftsman and industrial builder, wrote himself into a very long tradition when he started as a knife and scythe smith in Geilo in 1896. When he designed and developed the power hammer based on hydropower, he simultaneously opened up technical development and industrial production that would influence the company and the local community for generations. Today, Brusletto & Co produces fine sports and outdoor knives. Our knives are an essential tool whether you are hiking, hunting, or fishing. The knives are designed and produced to be used. The shape of the handle and blade varies depending on the needs you as a user want to meet and, most importantly, what feels best in your hand.</p>

<p>The steel we use is high-quality knife steel. It is treated, punched out, and hardened to the optimal hardness. The knife should hold its sharpness for a long time while not being difficult to sharpen when needed.</p>

<p>We use various types of wood for our handles, such as curly birch, birch, olive wood, walnut, and root burl. Our wood materials come from different places and are not endangered.</p>

<p>We strive for environmentally friendly production and have recycling routines for residual materials wherever possible.</p>

<p>We are proud of our knives; they are made with experience gathered over 125 years of production.</p>

<p>Our idea is that a knife is a companion on a trip, a good tool to help you solve both small and large tasks. It should always be by your side....always!</p>

<p>On January 1, 2019, Brusletto & Co became part of the Dalema Group after being acquired by Ultimate Nordic. Ultimate Nordic is a leading player in the import and distribution of brands to the sports and leisure industry.</p>
